- SAMPLE SYSOP DOCUMENTATION FOR DOORS
- Copyright 1995
- By
- Bob Dalton
-
- INTRODUCTION:
- ------------
- The "fun" part of making the door product is ALWAYS the
- completion of the required documentation to explain to
- sysops how to setup your door, register it, bug reports,
- etc.. In this package you will find several types of
- documentation which can be edited by you and included in
- your own door products at no charge and without any further
- permission needed. Using these will give you a running
- start and make this tedious job much easier to complete.
-
- REQUIREMENTS:
- ------------
- A text editor to edit each of the documents to reflect your
- own information.
-
- Files Included
- --------------
- Below is a listing of all files for the SYSOP.ZIP Package:
-
- README.1ST - The text file you are reading.
- B4UASK.DOC - Self help checklist provided for sysops to ensure
- that they have done everything you require in
- order to run your door on their BBS.
- SYSOP.DOC - THE most important document in your distribution
- package! Explains to sysops how to set up and
- operate your door on their BBS's. Give this a
- LOT of attention and you will get few requests
- for help....
- BUGRPT.FRM - A standard bug report form for use by sysops.
- REGISTER.FRM - Tells sysops how to register your product and the
- procedures to be followed.
-
- Installation and Preparation for Use
- ------------------------------------
-
- 1. Move the archive package to a temporary directory and "unzip".
-
- 2. Use a text editor to edit each of the enclosed documents to
- refelect your name, product, special requirements, etc..
- Bottom line: Edit to suit!
-
